A price for commissioned paintings is to be agreed upon prior to the acceptance of commissioned work. Paintings may be sold unframed or framed. Framing includes basic white archival matting and backing to ensure longevity of the work. Simple maple, cherry or walnut colored or wooden framing is also used. Once a subject has been selected, a detailed sketch of the composition will be created and shown to the client. It may be necessary to take digital photos of the subject for reference material prior to the design sketch. Discussion as to color, changes in the composition, etc. is made at the time of viewing. Normally, only one sketch is required. However, should it be necessary to complete a second sketch due to major composition changes, a second meeting with the client will take place at no charge. At the time of acceptance of the composition sketch, one-half of the total price will be required as a non-refundable deposit. Checks are to be made payable to Debbie Cannatella. The remainder of the price will be due upon delivery. In some cases, clients are interested in commissioning paintings similar to one previously sold. In these cases, the current design will be altered slightly to ensure a more original composition. Discussions of the alterations will be agreed upon prior to acceptance of the commission. Prices of individual paintings vary according to complexity of composition and design. Painting prices are negotiable and subject to change. For estimating purposes the following 2008 prices can be used as an average guide. Sizes may vary according to subject and prices/sizes will periodically be reviewed and updated.
